Alfa Romeo 149, another Italian beauty

It looks like Alfa keeps releasing one beautiful after another. After we’ve seen the 8C Competizione and the MiTo, now AutoExpress released details about the 147 successor, the Alfa Romeo 149. The front part follows the styling that made everyone fall in love, with the circular headlamps, sharp, arrow-like nose and deep Alfa shield grille. [...]

Alfa Romeo's U.S. return delayed until 2011

Fiat’s CEO Sergio Marchionne has announced that Alfa Romeo’s return to the United States has been delayed again, this time until 2011. We lost track how many times Alfa Romeo has delayed its comeback to the US, first time it was 2007, then 2008, then late 2009, then 2010 and now 2011. We wonder if [...]

Alfa Romeo: 159 plans, Duetto dreams

Alfa Romeo’s aim to reach 300,000 unit sales a year remains, despite delaying the US re-launch and the general global economic climate at the moment. To achieve this goal though, Alfa will[...]

MAF Sensor

Alas, i’ve retrieved all the messages and searched them locally and
can’t find any references to MAF Sensors since a conversation in 2004.

Can you remember what was recommended?

thanks!

German Alfa and onboard computer/display language

Hi,

I’m thinking of importing an Alfa Romeo 156 SW GTA from Germany (good
prices, low km’s) and I’m wondering if the onboard computer and/or
display settings are in the german language and if so, this can be
changed to english/dutch ?

anyone? :)

thanks

Roel.

Would you?

Brand new, but import, with Sillyspeed.

I’d love a GT, but really need something without a clutch pedal, but
I’ll be putting 100k miles on it over the next 3 years….

How does this sound for a plan?

Quick background.

Opting out of company car scheme, got around £5.5k / year all-in for a
car.

I really want a a 159 Sportwagon or Brera with a 2.4 JTD engine and
QTronic box – but they’re still a bit too new and over budget.

Looking around, I could get a facelift 156 2.0JTS Selespeed for around
£5.5k with sensible miles on it, run it for a year or 18 months until
the 159 or Brera is cheap enough, then pass it on to Katie.

Reckon it’s a do-able plan? – I hear that any Selespeed fitted to a JTS
engine or to the GTAs is ‘revision 3′, which means it’s much more
reliable than earlier boxes.
