I have a strut brace that was removed from an early 33. I want to
check whether this will fit on a newer 33. It seems to approx 3 or 4mm
out. I then went back to the original car and find it will no longer
fit that. Therefore there must be some technique to fitting the strut
brace. Can anyone guide me?

Can anyone tell me of their experiences with extracting more power from
a 1.7 16v motor as used in the 33 for racing purposes without resorting
to a turbo.

Hi people,

I have a 12 month old 146 1.6 and have found that water is leaking into the
spare wheel space through the boot catch.  Is this a known problem?

Recently I noticed the JD Powers list that the BBC use on Top Gear rated the
156 somewhere around 114 out of 120.  Apparently many owners complaining of
mechanical and electrical probs and they seemed particularly beefed off with
dealers.   Also saw in Evo mag that their long term 156 selespeed had to
have the bottom half of the engine rebuilt after a bearing flipped.   I have
a 156 1.8 with about 19k (miles) on it.  I have a bit of a prob with the
engine revving slightly when it is stopped at lights etc, but have put that
down to the climate control kicking the revs up a bit.   However, I’ve not
had a thing go wrong with the car, and it is still squeak free and reliable.
Is mine a rarity?  Is the cars position in the JD powers list purely down to
owners pissed off with dealers?

My 146 1.8 squeaks from back wheels when it starts to spit with rain..it
sounds like the bearings are gone. When you apply the brakes the squeaking
stops and then restarts when you release them.. Any suggestions??

Hi,

is it possible on the 146 to actually tune the dashboard
light to wnat you want or is it a default value?
If yes, thanks to tell me how because I didn’t find anything
in the manual and no buttons seems to regulate the light!
