On the single zone A/C in a 156, I seem to remember that you can
change what happens when you press the button that
activates/deactivates the compressor. IIRC, in one mode, the
‘compressor switch’ remembers it’s setting when the ignition is turned
off and in the other, it turns the compressor on every time the
ignition is turned on regardless of the previous setting. I think
there are other differences too.
IIRC, someone here provided details of how to switch from one mode to
the other. As my searching revealed nothing, anyone remember/know how
to do it?

‘Oil’ be seeing you..
(Email without ‘Alfa’ in subject are auto-deleted..sorry!)
My clutch is currently dysfunctional due to a leak from the slave cylinder seal
(in)conveniently located in the gearbox, what confuses me is that the brakes
still work fine, even though both systems run from the same reservoir.
Brake pedal has plenty of pressure, but the clutch pedal goes to the floor and
stays there. What sorcery is this?

Hi everyone,
Gabri (member) from Italy sent me the images and videos, I have
uploaded them to my server. I will in time produce a proper page for
them as they are simply in a folder on my server, but for now you can
download the images and the videos by right clicking and saving each of
the videos and pictures to
your desktop. Simply click on the following URL to go to the location.

I have one of the 1000 of these ever made. My question is can I run it
without the belt that drives the aircon unit. It doesnt drive anything
else and I need to get the car home
Dont know if anyone is intrested but whilst thumbing through a Car mechanics
Mag, I came accross this book.
I havnt bought it but it might be worth a read as we may find out a little
more about the odd and wonderful things that the 156 trys to throw at us
from time to time?

At the weekend I had the pleasure of changing a headlight bulb for the 1st
time on my yr.2000 156 TS . After some swearing, 2 finger nails and a few
grazed knuckles I did succeed. They certainly don’t make it easy though and
that was the off-side. The near-side one looks even harder to get at and
see. Any tips or tricks ??
I suppose having done it once, it won’t seem so difficult next time.

Hi everyone. I have decided to get rid of all my extra parts and focus on
the rebuildof my GTV6 race car.
Lots of parts for both the 76 Alfetta GT and 83 GTV6.
Go to http://adhdcentre.ca/Alfa_parts/index.html to get a look at some of
the available parts. The glass from both vehicles is available except for
the windshields and one rear window.
there are full wiring harnesses for both cars.
No reasonable offer not refused.
I also have a 76 4 cylinder SPICA with 10:1 compression pistons complete.I
will part it out or sell complete.
The shell of the GTV6 is available for sale.
Thanks
Bob
